This one day symposium explores new social science and cultural studies research into male bodies, and the cultural and body modification practices through which contemporary masculinities are being constructed and performed. Local and international speakers working in gender, sexuality and trans* studies, men’s and masculinity studies, anthropology, sociology, cultural and media studies disciplines will present innovative research that contributes to current debates and research agendas on men, men’s health, and male bodies.
Registration opens at 9:45am, with the opening session at 10am.
